I have been very busy with my new puppy he is a Jug a Jack Russell\Pug cross and only 9 weeks old. He is not yet fully toilet trained lets just say it is a bit hit and miss.

This month to celebrate St Valentine's Day I am giving away one handmade chocolate box with every order from www.dollhousekitchen.com

So pop on over and treat yourself.

In the odd moment I have found some time for mini making in between cuddles and clearing up after the little devil.

Halloween

Goodness where has the year gone? What with my mother on the verge of being diagnosed with Parkinson's Dementia, my going into the perimenopause (I never knew it was possible to be so cross and irrational) and the upheaval of my husband working abroad and only seeing him six times a year (some might say a blessing). I have not really had alot of time for mini making. That said I am back and trying to sort out my store. So here is a selection of what has emerged from the dollhouse kitchen. Click on caption for more information about each item.

We have been so lucky here in the UK this, Summer our weather actually reflects that it is Summer and not a wet Autumn as is so often the case. I for one have been taking advantage of all the sun visiting our local park everyday to exercise my little house guest. A darling Bichon Frise, my neighbour's dog I am dog sitting for two weeks. While sitting in the shade of a Sycamore tree people watching I was inspired to create my new miniature food collection.

All Things Christmas

Yesterday my mum and I made the Christmas Cake we were all excited as it was the first time I was going to help. The fruit had been soaking for about a month. Well what can I say it was a disaster and is now residing in the bin. Mum left it in the oven too long and it was burnt black. We were so disappointed although, I think mum was more upset about the waste of a whole bottle of rum that went into making the cake.
Thank Goodness I am so much better at making miniature food. Here are some of my little creations

With November midway through my miniature Christmas preparations are well and truly under way. I had a little set back last week when I sliced my left thumb with a scalpel while trying to trim a mini Christmas pudding. So for a few days I could not make anything. Its on the mend now thank goodness. Lets hope I am not silly enough to do it again. Here is a selection of what I have been busy with.
