Hoping all of you celebrating had a wonderful Christmas and that the New Year brings you wealth, health and happiness.
Shortly I shall resume sculpting my little miniatures well, as soon as my little helpers the Elves return from helping Father Christmas.

Blackberry and Apple Crumble - Soon to be listed

The blackberries have started early here in London UK. I was out collecting them along the New River Canal at the weekend. I have one question to ask why do the largest sweetest blackberries grow next to stinging nettles? Thank goodness for doc leaves. After returning home with our bounty Julian my long suffering partner, made a delicious Blackberry and Apple Crumble. Which spurred me into making the above.

Oh dear here in London UK it has been pouring with rain on and off for over a week now. It feels damp and cold. I have even put the heating on just to take the chill out of the air and its July.
On a brighter note here are my latest creations.

I got back from a wonderful holiday in Crete recently, where we visited archeological sites, snorkeled, ate dinner on the seafront and relaxed in the sun's soporific rays.

Now back to the harsh reality of aUK summer, rain, wind and the heating on in June! Since I have been back I have been very busy in my mini making room. Here are some of the items.

Here in London in the UK we are having unseasonally warm days roughly 18 degrees centigrade. I have unfortunately, abandoned all mini work and embraced the garden. Well being England one is never quite sure how long the sunshine will last! The bad news is it will all be over by Saturday.
Here is a sample of some of the miniatures I have finished.

Accident Prone

This week while doing a good deed, tidying my lazy son's bedroom (hes 19 years old), I managed to break my glasses. I was so hot I pulled off my sweater in a rush and a lens snapped. Being left with only an old pair of less than flattering glasses I quickly mailed off the broken glasses to be repaired. Well, to my horror I have just received an email saying the company I sent the broken glasses to has no record of them or of ever stocking those frames. In my hurry to return them I posted them to the wrong company. I feel such a fool!
What with dropping my personal D.A.B. radio in the bucket of water last week, while doing some Spring cleaning for my Mum. I dread to think what else I may break in my quest to be helpful.
Here are a few items ready for Easter.

Last night I was very lucky indeed, I was chauffeured to dinner at the Wolseley Hotel just next door to The Ritz, Piccadilly, London and then onto the Royal Albert Hall to see Totem, the new Cirque De Soleil show. I had a fabulous evening. Suffice to say I didn't get to bed until 12.30am which is well past my normal bedtime, so sad bunny that I am I was forced to have a little nap this afternoon.
After all the excitement of last night I was able to settle down and get on with some of my commissions. Here is a sample of some of my newly completed works

Selection of Chocolate Boxes - To See More Click Here

What with 2010 truly over its time to get ready for a miniature Valentine's Day. I have been busy making Chocolates and Valentine Chocolate Boxes.
I have also been experimenting with a new techique which I call filigree icing as in the two tier celebration cake above.
At the end of December I had a special promotion on my website www.dollhousekitchen.com where each customer received a free pot of strawberry jam with every purchase. This proved so successful I shall be including a free pot of plum jam with every purchase for two weeks during February so keep checking the site.

I hope all of you that have snow and ice stay safe and warm indoors. Here in North London no snow yet, but it feels so cold. I just want to wrap up warm with a hot drink and dare I say it - not make minis. My fingers are almost to cold to move properly. I have even wrapped my cat up to keep her warm I am not sure if she is pleased or not. Can't please everyone!

Here are my latest creations.
